The trench warfare was and still is a turning point in history. It was the bloodiest and most graphic war that was ever fought. It all started in the year of 1914 and ended in the year of 1918. The war was fought in France and Belgium during the time of world war 1. There were many nations involved, which were Austria-Hungary, Germany, Russia, Serbia, France, The United Kingdom, and Belgium. It basically was a war fought in trenches instead of being in the middle of a open fire. They used tanks, machine guns, mortars, artillery, gas, flamethrowers, barbed wire, and aircraft. Many people died, and little survived. It is a war that really made a big impact and is keeping the title of "Most Bloodiest War."
There was a major turning point with trench warfare. IT was because of all the technology and better fighting equipment. Before we would just hide in trenches then run out and shoot the enemy or get shot. For example when Germany attacked France not in the ground but in the air. It was there first time using airplanes to fight. Now in this present time there is more casualties because its easier to spot our allies and kill them by one shot like a sniper does. Also when the U.S. had to drop a nuclear bomb on Japan. That is how there was a major turning point on trench warfare because now they use weapons that were used back then.
